Create a Christmas Ceremony at Home to connect to your Heart

Even if you can't celebrate with your family this year, you can take a moment to connect to your heart, nourish your body and relax your mind.

For this Ceremony you can use the special winter edition cacao blend "Starry Night" or any other Naked Chocolate Cacao Blend that suits you.

  1. Organise your home before sitting down for Ceremony.

  2. Create a space and yourself for your ceremony at home. (inspiration for the Ceremony). Make It really cozy and nurturing. Also add any Christmas details that are important to you and make you feel good.

  3. Set an intention for what you'd love to experience/remember during this Ceremony. For Christmas it's beautiful to remember appreciation for what we have and are, connecting to the heart and love inside and all around us.

  4. Choose some beautiful music that makes you dream and relax. There are many on my Spotify account. This playlist I've been playing a lot on Heart Opening Ceremonies. A Yin Culture Classic is Wings and Heart.

  5. Make your cacao. (how to make it extra delicious)

  6. Sit down and take a few deep breaths first. Notice how you are feeling physically, mentally, emotionally and energetically.

  7. Take your cup to the heart and remember your intention here. Give thanks to the cacao, the land, the trees, the earth, yourself. Drink your cacao when feeling ready. Enjoy every single sip. Sit still or move gently.

  8. When you finish drinking, bring one hand to your belly, one to the heart. Take deep breaths here, Notice how your belly fills up, then the heart. Once the breath reaches the heart, hold your breath for a moment and then slowly release through the nose. Repeat 1-3 times.

  9. Slowly open your eyes and write down for what you've been grateful for this year. What has been going really well. What did you learn, What would you love to invite in more into your life. Who is it that you'd love to say thank you and say I love you. What were your gifts of 2020. When done, close your eyes and take a few deep breaths through the nose in and mouth out - letting it all go.

  10. Now slowly start moving into your yin yoga practice. You can do a 30 minutes Heart-Opening or Restorative Practice to connect deeper to your Heart.

  11. Intentionally close the space by saying you're closing it and giving thanks to the practice, the cacao, yourself and all the tools. If it feels good, you can AUM or take a deep breath into the heart, hold at the top and then slowly exhale. Clear the space once done.

  12. Do something nourishing, have good food, hug a tree and take rest.

Enjoy your Christmas Ceremony at home and take time to nourish your heart.
